The Jam is Bray's creative movement — a weekly night where musicians, poets, comedians, storytellers and curious souls come together to share, connect and make something memorable.
Run by Heartbeat Entertainment, we alternate every Thursday between two brilliant venues: the high-energy Open Mic Night at Jim Doyle's on the Bray seafront, and the intimate, acoustic Circle Session at Signal Arts Centre.
No pedestals. No egos. No experience required. Just a warm, welcoming community of people who believe that every voice deserves to be heard. 🍞🍓

Open Mic Nights
Our Open Mic Night is a lively, welcoming space where anything goes. Music, poetry, comedy, storytelling, spoken word — if you've got something to share, we want to hear it.
Every night has a gentle theme to spark inspiration, but it's completely optional. Perform whatever you like, however you like — plug in, go acoustic, use backing tracks, bring your own gear. There are no rules, only good vibes.
Whether it's your first time on a stage or your fiftieth, you'll be met with encouragement and genuine warmth. We're one of the most supportive crowds in Bray — and we mean that.
Hosted at Jim Doyle's on the Bray seafront, every second Thursday from 8PM – 11:30PM. Entry is completely free. Sign-up opens at 8PM sharp on the night — first come, first served, no pre-bookings. Everyone gets a 10-minute slot to shine.
It's a fun, warm, slightly magical night every time — full of variety, laughter and brilliant surprises. Come and see for yourself. 🍞🍓

Circle Sessions
Our Circle Session is an intimate, acoustic evening where we sit together and take turns sharing something real. A song, a poem, a story, a memory, a spoken word piece — whatever feels right in the moment.
It's gentle, relaxed and low-pressure by design. No stage, no spotlight, no ego — just a warm circle of people creating something together. The theme is always optional; follow it, twist it, or ignore it completely. Come prepared or come spontaneous. Either works perfectly here.
Musicians are encouraged to join in behind other performers if the mood calls for it — some of the best moments happen when people collaborate on the spot.
Hosted at the beautiful Signal Arts Centre in Bray, every second Thursday from 8PM – 11:30PM. Tickets are €5 and we're BYOB friendly — just bring your bottle and a €10 corkage fee on the door.
